Vicky Lynn Wilson, of Govan, passed away peacefully and without pain on February 17, 2026.
Vicky was predeceased by her parents, Leonard Wilson and Kathleen Wilson, formerly of Balcarres. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Gary, and her nephew, Kyle.
Raised on a farm near Balcarres, Vicky grew up with strong prairie roots that shaped her hardworking spirit, resilience, and deep devotion to family. She graduated from Balcarres School in 1974.
That same year, Vicky began her life partnership with Rodney Roberts, with whom she shared over five decades of love and commitment. Together they raised three children and built a home where everyone was always welcome.
Vicky was a devoted mother to her children Garnet, Garrett (Gennine), and her beloved “baby bear,” Brittney (Justin); her grandchildren Shealynn, Brielle, Nyla, and Hudson, each of whom brought her immense joy.
In 1976, Vicky began her career with the Public Service of Canada, where she served with dedication and integrity. In 1988, she moved to Govan, Saskatchewan, where she continued to build a life rooted in community and family.
Vicky was known for cooking enough food to feed an army, never knowing how many of “the boys” might be coming home. Her table was always full, her door always open, and no one ever left hungry. She cherished the simple moments—sitting back with a beer by the fire or enjoying quiet evenings on the patio with the people she loved.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date to honor Vicky in the way she would have wanted.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff of Pasqua Hospital Palliative Ward 3A for their exceptional care, kindness, and support.
Vicky’s strength, warmth, and unconditional love will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
